Not laying ?
Over the past few weeks my 2 hens have been rarely laying,i get the odd egg a day and sometime none at all,is this common for this time of the year ?
They are free range but always go back to the nest box to lay their eggs,i have thoroughly checked the garden but nothing found.

Sorry to hear about that Flump!
Has it been very cold by you recently? Any change in the hens diet? How old are your girls?

Re: Not laying ?
Hiya cheeky
It has been a bit colder than normal, but it has been all over country, the only thing we have changed in their diet was giving them more mixed corn as a treat,we have now stopped this as i feel they were leaving their layer pellets because of this.My girls are about 10 months old now if that helps ?

Hmm, they're young so they should be in lay still. Have you tried them on warm porridge on frosty mornings?
Perhaps the additional corn is causing them to go a tad overweight...how do they feel? If they are overweight this may be a reason for them going off-lay.
