What's the biggest egg your hens have ever laid?

My heaviest and largest weighed in at 4oz and was from Ruby, a hen I got from the local farm. I bet that made her eyes water!!! Shocked

we have only just started getting an egg a day so they are all a bit small at the mo...we still get very eggcited when we find one nestled in the straw!

Lisa-marie, even after all this time looking after hens, for me it's still a real treat to find eggs in the nest boxes! Very Happy

To be honest i have never thought about weighing the eggs,i will from now on as i have had quite a few double yolkers,i bet they would be quite heavy.

I never measured Daisy's eggs, my large egg layer (she's stopped now, although she still pretends to).

Her eggs measured 4 inches+ in circumference, and were ENORMOUS, sometimes too big to sit in the egg stand! Shocked
