New to Site

Post  DedeMao on Sat Dec 21, 2013 11:03 am

Hello there I'm DedeMao,

Im new to this site and I have to say to the whole chicken loving thing! Yesterday my chicken coop arrived and today I plan to put it together and site it in the garden. I've been told lots of differing information about keeping chickens and I have always believed that they were gregarious girls but I have been told to keep my chicken, (a friend has her at the moment) on her own because she apparently bullies other birds unmercifully!
My questions are...

Is it ok to put her coop on the dirt, last year it was a potato patch!  (Lack of grass!) and how do I stop her from being lonely and getting bored?
Thanks any help would be appreciated. Very Happy
